Black Death Persecutions

Burning Jews

February 14, 1349, two-thousand Jews of  Strasbourg -Men, women and children – are dragged in the cemetery of the city and burned alive on a huge bonfire. The Black plague has just unleashed on Europe, and in a time where we know nothing of the bacteria, the culprits are found: the Jews!
Elsewhere in Europe, throughout the middle ages, the Jews are accused of poisoning the wells, and there is nothing to stop the massacres, not even a bubble of the Pope.
